Modern, Transitional, or Traditional?

There are many options in the world of cabinetry and fine furniture.  To get started, we recommend choosing a style in order to keep your exploration focused.  From there you can either remain true to one style or bring elements from different styles together.  That’s the fun.

Grabill Kitchen Photo005Modern design encompasses bright and bold ultra-minimalist style with clean, straight lines.

Transitional is a blend of Traditional and Modern styles with a comfortable yet classic feel.  Color palettes are very subtle and uncomplicated while texture is an important feature.

Traditional design relies heavily on the finely crafted woodworking details for its pedigree.  Contemporary renditions have relaxed the historical code, yet enough of the classic identifying details remain giving a style definition.  (Examples include Queen Anne and Arts & Craft)

Dianne and Art love the home they purchased more than 18 years ago. It has multiple levels and a very open floor plan.
John and Linda Courtney needed room to hold their family dinners each Sunday. With 13 (or more) in attendance, the small dining area wouldn’t seat everyone comfortably.
